Mini Movers

Ages 2-3

45 Mins

This program is designed as a very fun and upbeat 1st introduction to dance. The curriculum approaches dance as making shapes, rhythms and plenty of imaginations. Dance portion is 30 minutes long followed by 15 minutes of a coordination obstacle course and basic tumbling skills like “X” cartwheels, forward rolls, and pizza rolls. The use of props and visual learning tools add a fun and exciting learning method for this class.

Creative Classes

Ages 3-4

45 Mins

Dancers are introduced to beginner ballet technique through creative movement followed by 15 minutes of beginner tumbling.   The use of props and visual learning tools add a fun and exciting learning method for this class.

Combo Classes

Ages 4-5 and 5-6

(1 to 1.5 hours)

Combo 4+5 includes 1/2 hr. ballet basics and a 1/2 hr. of tap basics.  Combo 5+6 includes a 1/2 hr. of ballet review integrated with jazz basics as well as a 1/2hr of tap. Combo class dancers perform 2 routines in the spring show.   Combo 4&5 has the option to add on an extra 30 minute tumbling class.   Any dancer in the Combo 5&7 is also permitted to enroll in Intro to Acro and/or Beginner Ballet as long as they are enrolled in a Combo 5&6 class and the dancer turns 6 by May 31, 2023. 

Ballet. Jazz. Tap. Pointe. Acrobatics

Beginner to 

Advanced

Jazz, Tap and Acrobatic classes are offered in many levels. Dancers are placed in the appropriate level by technique and skill, not by age. Each level has a prerequisite of skills needed to enroll and follows a structured skill curriculum. All dancers enrolled in Acrobatics Level 4 and higher and/or
Jazz Intermediate and higher, are required to take a ballet class.

"Bendi" Acrobatics

Auditioned

Our “Bendi” program is for our acrobatic students who exhibit great flexibility. Like the other acrobatic classes, the “Bendi” program does require a prerequisite of skills . All dancers enrolled in the “Bendi” program must take at least 2 ballet classes. Currently our “Bendi” classes are teams and part
of the Ensemble .

Hip Hop

Beginner to 

Advanced

45 mins to 1 Hour

Our hip hop classes combine many styles of hip hop from street dance to pop and lock. Hip hop classes are offered for ages 7 to adult.

Musical Theater

Intermediate to 

Advanced

1 Hour

Musical Theater classes focus on acting through movement.  Touching on style, genre and history of the Great White Way along with improv acting and story telling-- students will see genres from ballet to jazz to hip hop.

Lyrical

Beginner to Advanced 

1 Hour

Lyrical is a fusion of Jazz and Ballet techniques expressing the lyrics of a song through dance interpretation. All dancers enrolled in a Lyrical class
must take a Jazz and Ballet class.

Modern & Contemporary

Intermediate to Advanced

1 Hour Class

Modern & Contemporary dance are styles of dancing that is not as restricted as classical ballet;. The movements are expressive of feelings and require a solid ballet background. All dancers enrolled in a Modern/Contemporary class must take Ballet and the Fitness Dabbler class.

Fitness for Dancers

45 Min Class

Ovations offers class that blends the fundamentals of yoga and pilaties to build core strength and flexibility, and focuses on use of breath.

Ensemble Program & Competitive Teams

By Audition Only

These groups perform at local events and competitions as well as parades. Currently we offer team classes in Jazz, Tap, Ballet & Acro/Bendi.

Adult Classes

Adults 18+​

Ovations offers classes for adults ages 18+ in tap and hip hop. Come for the skills, the movement and the fun!

Dancing Dads

March thru May

No experience necessary...if you are an Ovations’ Dad, you can participate in the most anticipated routine of the show
